Sailing courses
Under the guidance of our experienced skippers with commercial shipcommander VIII
training, you can feel safe as you learn the fundamentals of the sailing.
Combine a wonderful vacation with getting to know new fun friends and learning
the art of sailing. You will feel the wonderful feeling of
how You and the crew all come together to sail the boat as a team. The course gives you enough theoretical and
practical knowledge and skills to independently handle a smaller sailboat in
coastal waters in good weather. You do not need any prior knowledge, but you
should be able to swim 200m in open water. All courses are based on Säbyviken
Marina which is half way to Vaxholm. It is easy to reach, 30 minutes by bus
from central Stockholm. We can hold courses in Swedish and English.
SAILING COURSES COMFORT 30
INTRODUCTION 2 days
INTRODUCTION
For those who have probably never been sailing before and want to find out how it is. We start Saturday morning at 9:00 from the home port and will return at 4:00 pm both days. You need to be able to is swim 200m. Max 3 participants. You need clothes according to weather. Loan of inflatable life jacket is included in the price.

BASIC COURSE 2 days
We sail on our nice newly renovated Comfort 30 with room for 3 participants. We will sail a lot and you will also train maneuvering and berthing techniques. Course contents: Sailing basics, windward & fall, strikes & jibes, winds, weather, handling the sails, sail care, terms, weighing rules, maneuvering, berthing, anchoring, sea conduct and safety, knots & quailing, basic navigation, man over board. Loan of inflatable life jacket is included in the price.

SAILING A BIG BOAT
We live on the boat, 3 or 4 days, on our spacious Bavaria 47 with room for 6 participants. We will sail a lot and you will also train maneuvering and berthing a bigger boat. Course contents: Sailing basics, windward & fall, strikes & jibes, winds, weather, handling the sails, sail care, terms, weighing rules, maneuvering, berthing, anchoring, sea conduct and safety, knots & quailing, basic navigation, man over board.
